The Southfield Parks and Garden Club, Inc., is a non-profit  tax-exempt charitable public service organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible.

CHORE

We fix up the front of houses (trim, weed, plant flowers) for elderly and/or disabled low to moderate income residents.  This helps people regain pride in their homes, helps them feel they are not letting the neighborhood down, and enables them to stay in their homes longer.

EMMANUEL COMMUNITY FARM

The Farm is a cooperative arrangement between the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Southfield and the Club.  A lease was signed in January, 2008, giving the Club use of the land to grow fruit and vegetables for the hungry, to be delivered by Forgotten Harvest.

CITY PARK TRAILS

The Club works with the city’s engineering department to map the trails using GPS.  We then clear, chip, and sign them.
